Belarus drops to second place in WHO alcohol consumption ranking
Lithuania is World No 1 alcohol drinking nation, while Belarus accounts for the second largest volume of alcohol consumed by the population, according to the latest 2016 WHO report. Last year, adult Lithuanians drank an average of 16 liters of alcohol. Annual average consumption in Belarus dropped to 15 liters. Top 5 includes Latvia (13 liters), Russia and Poland (12 liters).
