By its significance for Minsk’s musical life, Graffiti pub-club can arguably be compared to the legendary СBGB in New York and Cavern in Liverpool. Over 15 years of existence, this tiny venue has become a startup stage for many now famous Belarusian bands, including Serebryanaya svadba, Addis Abeba, The Toobes, Akute, Bez Bileta, Petlia Pristrastiya.
The club’s décor is somewhat trying to copy the authentic 1960s “British underground culture”. It hosted performances by Iggy Pop’s ‘buddy’ Peaches and musicians from Gogol Bordello who raved together with a lively crowd of locals to the tunes of the Belarusian bands, which – who knows – one day may become the stars of tomorrow.Graffiti
