We've already told you about Y Gallery located at the same address. The white building that used to be a bottle buy-back center back in the Soviet times hosts lohvinaU – a bookstore that boasts the biggest collection of books and CDs in the Belarusian language in the whole country. The bookstore also has a 'Polish bookstand' with books in the Polish language as well as some titles in Ukrainian and English. Take a picture of yourself next to the Book Kilometer Zero sign near the store's entrance or sit at the vintage desk where Uladzmir Karatkievič, often called Belarusian Umberto Eco, used to work.
Upon entering, you can also spot a bookcrossing shelf – that’s where you can bring your own books and magazines or take someone else's books for free. The bookstore hosts numerous exhibitions, meetings and other cultural events.lohvinaU bookstore
