High-speed light rail
This new type of Minsk city transportation, officially called City Lines Trains emerged in 2011.
The usual commuter trains previously known under the nickname elektrichki are now called Regional Lines Economy Class Trains.
The new Swiss-made City Lines trains can be found on two routes: Minsk-Belarus (Zaslaŭje) and Minsk-Rudziensk.
Although being called 'city lines', they're not strictly urban as their routes are located near just two big city districts. However, you can hop on such a train if you need to go to ždanovičy Market or Minsk-Arena.
