Over 150 representatives from 16 countries take part in the international tourism industry fair that opened on 5 April 2017 in the Belarusian capital. The forum will focus on various formats of tourism and recreation services, seasonal packages, children-friendly holidays and many others. The event is organized by the Belarusian national expo center BelExpo and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism.
There have been protests for a month throughout Belarus against the tax collection from the unemployed. Thousands of Belarusians express their displeasure in the streets with the decree of the President Alexander Lukashenko, who introduced the so-called tax on “parasitism” in the country. The law returned the concept "parasite" from the Soviet past. The unemployed were raided, caught and sent to community service at that time.
The Belarusian air carrier Belavia now offers food on all flights. Passengers on flights lasting up to one and a half hours are entitled to sandwiches, or meat/fish starters and vegetables. Drinks selection includes tea, coffee, water and juice.

Belarus and China's Special District Hong Kong have agreed to abolish visas to promote business and tourism exchanges between the two countries.
The agreement will come into force after the completion of internal procedures in Belarus and China, reports BelarusFeed quoting Belarusian Embassy in Beijing.

All movie theatres in Homiel, western Belarus, will soon have free Wi-Fi. Kalinina Cinema pioneered the service just a few days ago, with two more facilities in the important regional centre - Mir and Oktyabr to have introduced free wireless access to internet by the end of January 2017.
